Use Database when your app needs to save and query user profiles, posts, comments, messages, orders, product catalogs, settings, form submissions, or other structured records.
There are no database servers, connection strings, or credentials to set up. Orchard manages all the infrastructure, and your agent wires it into your app for you.

Use Database whenever your app needs to store and query structured records:

- Posts, comments, and messages
- Orders, carts, and product catalogs
- App settings and user preferences
- Form submissions and saved lists
Choose the right service
Use Storage for files, images, uploads, and downloads. Use Auth for user sign-in and sessions. Use Database for structured records that your app needs to create, query, update, or delete.

Start free. The Free plan includes a monthly allowance at no charge. Upgrade to Builder to keep going past it: you get double the allowance included, then pay only for what goes over.
- Storage: 250 MB free on Free; 500 MB included on Builder, then $0.25 per GB per month.
- Requests: 50,000 per month free on Free; 100,000 included on Builder, then $0.19 per million.
- Records read: 1.25 billion per month free on Free; 2.5 billion included on Builder, then $0.00125 per million.
- Records written: 2.5 million per month free on Free; 5 million included on Builder, then $1.25 per million.
